Lida Stamou was born in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the School of Architecture,
NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) in 2003 and worked as an architect in Athens and
London. From 2012 to 2017 she studied Sculpture in ASFA (Athens School of Fine Arts) and has
worked temporarily for the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the Benaki Museum and the
archaeological site of Delos island. She maintains her own studio and individual practice in Athens
working in sculpture, drawing and digital media by using present materials (iron, stone, resins) and
ghostly ones (light, time, waves).
