SYNOPSIS
The text here is a juxtaposition of two diaspora poems by the great African American poet, novelist and thinker, Langston Hughes. In this video the residents of Koumaria were each asked to recite lines from the two poems “Dream Variations” and “Oppression”, which concern both the possibilities of diaspora–the dreams, and the often harsh reality–the oppression.
